MY KINGDOM FOR A SHARP BLADE

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO USE ABOUT A MILLION X-ACTO BLADES PER YEAR HERE IS A LITTLE TIP. IF YOU TAKE THE X-ACTO BLADE, WHILE STILL IN THE KNIFE, AND SCRAP IT ON THE EDGE OF THE UNGLAZED RING OF CERAMIC FOUND ON THE BOTTOM OF MOST MUGS, THE BLADE WILL SHARPEN RIGHT UP AGAIN! THE UNGLAZED PART ON THE BOTTOM OF THE MUG IS ABRASIVE ENOUGH TO RE-SHARPEN THE CUTTING EDGE OF THE BLADE, AND THE GREAT THING IS YOU CAN FIND MUGS ALL OVER THE PLACE, UNLIKE AN OLD DIRTY SHARPENING STONE, WHICH SEEMS TO GET LOST CONSTANTLY. BEING THE INVESTIGATIVE GENIUS I AM, I WAS IMMEDIATELY ABLE TO PIECE TOGETHER THE FACT THAT A CERAMIC FLOOR TILE'S REVERSE SIDE WAS ALSO A GREAT SHARPENER! CLEVER HUH? FACT IS ANYTHING CERAMIC WILL WORK VERY WELL. OH, YES... BE SURE TO EMPTY YOUR MUG BEFORE YOU TURN IT UPSIDE DOWN. GEORGE A. TUPPER

ANTENNA PROBLEMS

DO YOU EVER FIND YOURSELF BREAKING OFF ANTENNAS AND PITOT TUBES BECAUSE YOU "FORGOT THEY WERE THERE" OR YOU "DID NOT SEE THEM" DURING CONSTRUCTION? HERE IS A TIP THAT SEEMS TO HELP. BEFORE YOU START ASSEMBLING THE MODEL, PAINT THE ANTENNA(S) OR PITOT TUBE(S) A "HIGHLY VISIBLE " COLOR. USE COLORS LIKE YELLOW WITH RED STRIPS, RED WITH ORANGE STRIPS OR ORANGE WITH SILVER STRIPS. THESE HIGHLY VISIBLE COLORS WILL CATCH YOU EYE, SO THAT YOU WILL NOT ACCIDENTALLY BREAK THE DELICATE PIECE OFF WHEN ASSEMBLING THE MODEL. WHEN THE MODEL IS FINISHED, PAINT THESE PARTS IN THE COLOR YOU CHOOSE. SCOTT VOMACKA
